Can I pay toward my hotel balance with a disney gift card?

    Hi Lauren,

Thank you for sending your question to planDisney!  I love using Disney Gift Cards during my Walt Disney World Resort vacations and they are also helpful to use when paying the balance of your reservations.

Guests are able to use Disney Gift Cards to pay the balance of their Walt Disney World Resort Hotel reservation either online or by calling (407) 939-1936.  When using your Disney Gift Card online, simply sign into My Disney Experience and click on the Resort Hotel tab in My Plans.  This will take you to your reservation details, including the balance.  From there, click on the make a payment link and follow the prompts to add your Disney Gift Card information.  The updated balance will be reflected in a little while in My Disney Experience.  Please keep in mind that when using your Disney Gift Card online, you will only be able to add one card, per transaction.  If you would like to use multiple Disney Gift Cards, simply call and speak to a Cast Member, who will be able to process multiple cards.

Disney Gift Cards are also a great way to pay for purchases and dining while at Walt Disney World Resort.  I purchase a Gift Card for my daughter prior to our visits and she is responsible for her spending while we are at Walt Disney World Resort.  I find it helps with the requests for souvenirs, and gives her more freedom with her purchases.

I hope you have a magical visit at Walt Disney World Resort, Lauren.  Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help!
