Hello and a warm welcome to planDisney, Heather. Thanks for stopping by to share this question with us. Oh boy, it sounds like a visit to the Disneyland Resort is in the works! And it looks like you're planning to visit during the holiday season too - even better.
To visit the theme parks at the Disneyland Resort, you will need a valid theme park ticket and
theme park reservation. The easiest way to accomplish both of these in one fell swoop is by purchasing your tickets at the Disneyland site. You will click on "Theme Park Tickets" under the heading "Parks & Tickets" towards to top left. The site will then walk you through your entire purchase.
Once you arrive at the purchase page, you will be required to make the full payment for all tickets. There are various payment options for you to choose from. You can pay with a credit card, PayPal, a Disney Gift Card or with your Disney Rewards Redemption Card (if you have one). One quick tip, if you decide to pay with a Disney Gift Card, keep in mind that the website can only accept one gift card. If you have more than one Disney Gift Card (lucky you), you can consolidate all balances into one card by visiting the
Disney Gift Card site and navigating to "My Cards." You can also pay with a combination of a Disney Gift Card and a credit card for the remaining balance.
Once your transaction is complete you will be all set to go with your theme park ticket and your theme park reservation is also now complete. You can start planning all of the things that you will do during your time at Disneyland. It will be right in the middle of the
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort. The resort will be adorned with festive decorations and there will be wonderful seasonal eats. My favorite seasonal treat during this time of the year is the Mickey Gingerbread cookie. I highly recommend adding this to your list of must-try eats. It's so soft, delicious and dreamy.
Heather, I hope this is helpful as you get ready to purchase your tickets for your magical visit. If you think of other questions, please come back to ask us. Until then, happy planning!
Michelle
