Can I pay a premium and avoid the annoying need to make individual meal reservations? Nothing we want to go to is available during our stay (e.g., Oga’s) at ANY POINT during our four days in the park. That seems ridiculous.

    Hi there, Jennifer!

I'm glad you found us at planDisney! This dedicated group of Disney-loving panelists is always here to help guide you and answer any questions about the planning process. I am sorry that you're having trouble finding availability for dining reservations during your stay. I understand this can be frustrating, but there may be a few ways you can still score a table at those tough-to-reserve restaurants, including the elusive, ever-so-popular, Guest-favorite, Oga's Cantina

First, you could try to utilize the Mobile Dine Walk-Up option. On the day you'd like to visit Oga's Cantina, you can use the Disneyland Mobile App to join a same-day waitlist to enter the restaurant. Once you are close to the restaurant, open the Disneyland Mobile App and use the search feature (magnifying glass icon on the bottom menu bar) to find Oga's Cantina. Select the restaurant, then select "Join Walk-Up List." Once confirmed, you'll see an estimated wait time based on your party size. Enjoy your time exploring Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge while you wait for the notification that your table is ready! The Walk-Up List does open and close throughout the day depending on availability, so I'd suggest checking back frequently if it is unavailable when you first look. This option is available at many other dining locations, including Blue Bayou Restaurant and Lamplight Lounge.

Another option that takes a bit of determination and persistence is to continue checking reservation availability as your stay approaches. Disneyland Resort Guests' plans are always changing. When a Guest cancels a reservation, it becomes available for someone else. I like to check back for open reservations a few times a day leading up to my stay to see if any reservations at my favorite dining spots have become available. You never know when some pixie dust may come flying your way!

Finally, if you do want to pay a premium to avoid the reservation process altogether, you may consider booking a Disneyland Resort VIP Tour. When you book a VIP Tour, you are assigned your own personal Tour Guide, a friendly, knowledgeable Cast Member, to help create the day of your dreams! You will receive faster access to your favorite attractions, park hop at any time of day and even secure reservations at the higher-demand restaurants. I have done a few VIP Tours at the Disneyland Resort and always find it best to tell my Tour Guide our wish list at the beginning of our time together, including any restaurants we'd like to book, must-do rides for our family, etc. These tours require a minimum time of seven hours for a group of up to ten Guests. The prices currently start at $2,975 for a seven-hour tour, though prices vary based on time of year, day of the week and time spent with your Tour Guide. I'd recommend calling for reservations early and inquiring about pricing for the dates of your visit.

Jennifer, I hope I've helped provide you with some options to experience Oga's Cantina and your other favorite dining locations during your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!
