Hi DeAnna ~
There are several
parking options at the Walt Disney World Resort. Preferred parking is available at all four of the theme parks. The preferred parking areas are located near the front entrances of each theme park. It is only a short walk and you will not need to take a tram.
I find that the preferred lots are great, especially if you are traveling with strollers that would have to be folded to board a tram. This makes it super convenient. The exception to this is the preferred parking at the Magic Kingdom. Their preferred parking area is located near the Transportation and Ticket Center. It is a short walk to the Transportation and Ticket Center and no tram service is provided. From there you will need to take a ferry boat or monorail to the Magic Kingdom.
You only have to pay one daily parking fee for a parking pass that is good all day at all four theme parks. They will give you a receipt when you pay the fee at any of the theme park Parking Plazas and you can use it to re-enter as many times as you would like that day. Your space within the preferred parking area is not reserved. If you leave and return to a park later in the day, you will have to park in any of the available spaces in the preferred parking area. Keep in mind that if you are visiting during a peak season, spaces are limited and may not be available in the next theme park you visit.
Please feel free to visit us again with all of your planning questions. We are hEAR for you!
Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
