Ahoy Jeremiah! Thanks for sailing my way here at planDisney with your question!
Ah, a fellow Disney Gift Card user! I don't know about you, but for the past few years, the only thing I've consistently had on my wishlists for most gift-receiving holidays and occasions is "Disney Gift Cards." With the frequency of deals that can be had at warehouse clubs to maximize the bang for your buck, I have a feeling they'll stay on that list for quite a while!
When it comes to making payments for your cruise, you are able to use multiple card types, including Disney Gift Cards! Just
sail on over to your "make a payment" page, select an amount to pay, and a "payment method" menu will open up, allowing you to enter gift card information! Now, if you would like to split your deposit or initial payment between multiple credit cards, I recommend calling a Disney Cruise Line Specialist.
Remember that as of this message for sailings through December 31, 2022,
final payment is temporarily extended until 60 days prior to sailing for Guests booked in unrestricted stateroom categories, so if you are looking to book an itinerary within that timeframe, it's likely you'd have to pay in full at the time of reservation. This is one reason why step one in my typical planning process is usually to book as far ahead as possible!
If you wanted to complete your booking by
calling a crew member by phone, you could do that as well and ask about using multiple payment options to pay for the balance of your cruise. If for some reason none of those options work out, you can always bring the gift cards with you when you climb aboard and use them to settle your shipboard account up for anything charged to your stateroom! We typically use this to offset our spending and is just one way we go about enjoying ourselves!
Thanks again for your question, Jeremiah, and if any others surface while you continue planning, please drop me another line at planDisney!
Until then, I wish you fair winds and following seas!
Andrew
