Do you have to pay for parking at the parks if you are staying at the resorts? Thank you.

    Hiya, Kathleen!

Welcome to planDisney.  Are you getting excited about your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation?  Even though it's still a few months away, August is going to be here before you know it!  You're definitely in for plenty of excitement during your visit because The World's Most Magical Celebration is happening all year long.  With thrilling new attractions, dazzling nighttime spectaculars, EARisdescent treats, and returning entertainment, there's so much to see and do.  I can't wait for you to experience all the magic coming your way!

I've got some great news –– as a Disney Resorts Collection hotel Guest, you'll receive complimentary standard parking at all Walt Disney World theme parks during your stay.  Pretty great, right?  If you'd like to park a little closer to magic, you'll also have the option to upgrade to Preferred parking for an additional fee.  Unlike theme parks, just note that there will be a per-night fee to park at your Resort.  Prices are subject to change, but this currently ranges from $15-$25, per night, for standard overnight self-parking and that charge will be added to your hotel folio at checkout.  Valet parking services may also be available at your Resort for an additional fee.

In addition to parking perks, you'll definitely want to take advantage of a special opportunity for Disney Resorts Collection hotel Guests, especially if you're an early riser –– Early Theme Park Entry.  This allows you to enter any Walt Disney World theme park up to 30 minutes before it opens to the general public each, which is a great way to experience each park's most popular attractions with a smaller line.  Just remember that you will need valid admission and a Disney Park Pass reservation to enter the park.  To maximize your extra time, I suggest arriving at the park before that 30-minute window opens because Cast Members often allow Resort Guests to get in line a little early.  During our most recent visit to Disney's Hollywood Studios, my family and I were even able to ride Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway and Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith before the park opened, and we were walking on to Tower of Terror right at 9 AM –– it was a perfect start to our day!  Be sure to set your alarm so you don't it!

I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney, Kathleen.  If you think of new questions before you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort, I hope you'll stop by again –– we're always here to help!

    Have a Magical Day,
    Amy
