Do I have to pay off my disney hotel balance before I can make Dining Reservations?

    Hello Ashley,

Summer will be here before you know it and so will your visit to join The World's Most Magical Celebration!

It sounds like you'll be staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. You'll love being in the middle of the magic, and it really makes it easy to head back to your resort for a midday swim break or much needed nap.

Another bonus of staying at a Disney Resort Hotel is that you can book your dining reservations for your entire trip (up to 10 days) beginning 60 days prior to your resort check-in date. Depending on how long your vacation is, that means you'll be able to book up to 70 days in advance. This will help you get some of those more popular reservations that often fill up almost immediately. I like to try to book restaurants for the last day of my vacation first. As much as I might want to start my vacation dining at Disney's California Grill for a delicious meal and spectacular view of Disney Enchantment, or kick of my vacation in EPCOT at Space 220 Restaurant, I know that I'll probably have better luck booking those meals when I can get them further than 60 days in advance.

If you booked a vacation package, your balance won't be due until 45 days prior to check-in. Did you know that if you book a vacation package you can make payments on it from the time you book until 45 days prior to your vacation? If you booked a room only, you won't have to pay that balance until you check in to your Disney Resort Hotel. Either way, you can make Dining Reservations long before your hotel balance is paid for.

Hope this helps. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!
