My Disney Experience mobile app. You have to purchase Genie+ each day as it becomes available after midnight on the day you have a
Park Reservation. Now, included with the purchase of Genie+ is access to book
Lightning Lane entry times! The price can vary each day and it is something you can purchase for yourself and anyone that is linked to you in your
Family & Friends List.
I suggest if you are interested in using the shorter wait of the Lightning Lane entrance then you should purchase it in your My Disney Experience App well before 7 AM of the day you are going to a Park. Then, at 7 AM on the dot, you book your first Lightning Lane return time. After that just check the app as it will let you know when you can book your second one. A Quick Tip: make sure to set an alarm on your phone for when you can select your next Lightning Lane so you don't miss a chance. Another Quick Tip: The time can change if you use the existing Lightning Lane so every time you "tap in" to this queue refresh your app and see if it's time to pick another one! I find that if I stay on top of my Lightning Lane bookings I have a very efficient and easy day!
If you ever make a Lightning Lane booking and find that it now overlaps with a
dining reservation you can visit the friendly Cast Members from the Guest Experience Team located under the big blue umbrellas throughout the Park. I had this happen to me and even when I tried to modify the times myself I found that all of the options kept interfering with my dinner reservations. The Cast Members were able to fix several of my Lightning Lanes in their special way and I was able to have a relaxing meal and keep all my Lightning Lane bookings.
