Hello there Donna!
I’m excited to see you're planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort and am happy to share all-things laundry with you. Years ago, I wouldn’t have considered doing a household task like laundry on vacation, but in recent years it has proven to be so useful for my family! You can plan ahead by packing fewer outfits, or head home with all clean clothes at the end of a trip and feel more relaxed to ease back into your reality. Our theme park clothes get heavy wear with active days, Florida sunshine, and all those snacks, so knowing what to have on hand for emergency or planned loads of laundry is a smart traveler tactic!
Disney’s Pop Century Resort is larger than life and pure fun! With its pop culture iconography, bright colors, and convenience of the Disney Skyliner transportation to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT, you’re sure to have a fabulous stay. I confirmed that there are both coin-operated machines (with a change machine available) and those that accept credit or debit cards at each of the three laundry rooms on property. Prices are always subject to change, but currently one load will cost $3.00 to wash and another $3.00 to dry. Laundry detergent packets are also available in the facilities for $1.00 each.
You’ll find washers and dryers in laundry rooms around Disney’s Pop Century Resort at the following locations:
- Near the Bowling Pool, close to the 50’s building
- Near the Hippy Dippy Pool, close to the 60’s building
- Near the Computer Pool, close to the 90’s building
This Disney Resorts Collection hotel may be styled to the fun times of the past, but the laundry rooms are in the land of tomorrow, Donna! Every laundry room can send text messages to your personal device when a laundry cycle is complete. You can also see the availability of machines on this futuristic website, ensuring you never head to the laundry room with a full basket only to find every machine taken. I hope these handy planning tools of today are helpful for your rockin’ visit to the pop culture life of our past on your next stay.
Thanks for bringing this question to planDisney! We love digging into the Disney details, so please come back and let us know how else we can help you plan for your next amazing vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort.
Washing you -- oops, WISHING you -- loads of magic,
Amy
