    Can you pay your hotel balance for magic band charges daily in cash? Are Disney parks and restaurants accepting cash post Covid?

    Hi there, Suzanne! Welcome to planDisney! I’m so happy you’re here.

    Oh my goodness, can you believe that your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just a couple of weeks away?! I bet you have been so looking forward to this trip, so you must be super excited! I know those last few days before my visits are spent picking out my park attire, getting those final plans buttoned up, and getting hyped up for the magic to come! So, I'm pleased to be able to help answer any questions you have before you set off on your fabulous adventure!

    Isn’t it great that you can make purchases throughout Walt Disney World with your handy MagicBand? I just love not having to worry about digging my wallet out of my bag whenever I want to grab a snack or get something to drink. It’s just another way that your MagicBand enhances your vacation experience! Now, your MagicBand will be linked to your Disney Resorts Collection Hotel reservation, so all charges made to your band will be added to your account balance with the resort. I am happy to share that you can absolutely pay this balance using cash by visiting the front desk of your resort. They will be more than happy to take care of this for you. Do keep in mind that only USD is accepted.

    You can also use cash for any purchases throughout Walt Disney World. However, I do want to mention that in the past, I have seen one or two registers at shops and quick-service restaurants be reserved exclusively for credit cards or contactless payments. So, you might experience a slightly longer wait in line as fewer registers are available for you to use for a cash payment.

    I’m just so excited for you to enjoy your fabulous vacation! Don't forget to check out the Recreation Activities board in the lobby when you check into your hotel. This is where you’ll find the schedule of awesome activities, events, and so much more! There really is so much to do at your resort, so make sure to leave yourself some time to enjoy it!
