Ahoy there, Phyllisann, and welcome back to planDisney! I love that you’re already looking for ways to sprinkle a little extra Pixie Dust, so I’m delighted to guide you through how to pre-pay your gratuities before setting sail.
You have several easy options! Start by visiting the Disney Cruise Line website, heading to the “Already Booked” section, and selecting “
My Reservations.” Once you’re logged in, scroll until you see the option to “Add Pre-Paid Gratuities.” If you prefer using the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, you can take care of it there as well.
You can also
call and chat with a friendly Disney Cruise Line representative who can add the gratuities for you. And if you booked through a travel agent, they’re able to take care of that on your behalf, too.
If life gets busy and you don’t arrange it beforehand, don't worry because the
suggested gratuity amount will simply be added to your onboard account. You can adjust the amount or change your form of payment at Guest Services once on the ship. It’s also a perfect time to apply any Disney Gift Cards to your account to help cover extras like poolside sips or irresistible souvenirs from Mickey’s Mainsail. I always make sure my Chase Disney Visa is linked as well so I don’t miss out on that handy 10% merchandise savings.
And because the Crew Members work so hard to make your vacation unforgettable, I like keeping a bit of cash on hand for special tipping moments, whether it’s room service Cast Members delivering my nightly Mickey Ice Cream Bar or the porters who care for my luggage on embarkation and debarkation days.
However you choose to handle it, your gratitude will be felt in every corner of the ship, Phyllisann. If any other questions bubble up before you sail away, I hope you’ll drop anchor again with us here at
planDisney!
SEA ya real soon!
