Can i pay for the Gand Californian with a visa debit and then use a different credit card when i check in? If so, how much credit do i need on the credit card to check in?

    Hello, Robyn!

Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for stopping by to ask us your question about the Disneyland Resort. I’m so glad to hear you’re thinking of planning a stay at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa! If this will be your first visit, I think you’ll fall in love with the property’s stunning California Craftsman-inspired architecture and details.

Yes, you can reserve your accommodations at the hotel with a Visa debit card and provide a different credit card upon check-in to be kept on file during your stay. A one-time hold of $250 will be placed on that card to cover incidental charges during your stay at one of the Disneyland Resort Hotels (but please keep in mind that this amount is subject to change). If you do not incur any additional charges during your visit, the hold will be lifted and that amount will be refunded to your card upon checkout. You’re welcome to stop at the front desk at any time to inquire about possible charges on your account.

I hope this answers your question, Robyn, and that your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth will be filled with pixie-dusted moments from start to finish! Please come back to planDisney for more tips and advice as you continue planning.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
