How much do I have to pay up front when I book a a resort? We're looking at Port orleans riverside for 3/3/18 to 3/6/18 .

    Hey Eric!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for sending us your excellent question. I am thrilled to know you’re planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation and that you’d like to stay at my favorite Moderate Disney Resort hotel — Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside.

Eric, if you book a Magic Your Way Vacation Package, you will need to secure your package with a down payment of $200.00. Your remaining balance will be due 30 days in advance of your check-in date. Any modifications or cancellations must be made at least 31 days in advance of the start of your vacation in order to avoid forfeiting your deposit.

If you make a “room-only” reservation, you will pay the current rate for one-night’s stay at the time of making your reservation. Your remaining balance will be due when you arrive at your Disney Resort hotel. You will be able to modify or cancel your reservation with no penalties up to 5 days before the start of your vacation.

Eric, don’t forget that you can start making Advance Dining Reservations 180 days in advance of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! I recommend making reservations early in order to have a better chance at enjoying a meal at the most popular Walt Disney World Resort restaurants and character dining locations.

If you have any additional questions, please visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel again. We are always here to help you plan the “practically perfect” vacation!
