    Can we pay for food and merchandise at WDW with Disney gift cards?

    Hello Kimberly! Welcome to planDisney! My fellow panelists and I are happy to answer any Walt Disney World Resort planning questions that you might have!

    I am happy to share that any Disney Dining or shopping location owned and operated by the Walt Disney World Resort will allow you to use Disney Gift Cards to pay for meals or merchandise! While this covers most locations throughout the Disney Parks and Disney Resort Hotels, there are a few locations, not operated by the Walt Disney World Resort, that won’t accept Disney Gift Cards. While it’s a small list, I do encourage you to check with a Cast Member at the location if you’re not sure that they’ll accept the Disney Gift Cards.
