Hey, howdy, hey, Janae,
I like the way you are thinking. This is exactly what we do when we stay at a
Disneyland Resort Hotel. To help us
budget and save a fair amount on our Disneyland Resort vacations, we collect
Disney Gift Cards and use them for just about everything: hotel,
theme park admission,
dining,
shopping, and even hotel incidentals.
Of course, the most convenient way to take care of your hotel incidentals is to take advantage of the
Direct-to-Room Service. When you use Online Check-In from the
Disneyland mobile app or on the
Disneyland Resort website, you can link a credit card or debit card. But those of us who like to use Disney Gift Cards to pay for items on our hotel room folio can do so by stopping by the hotel front desk. It’s usually best to do this at least once a day to stay ahead of the charges before they are applied to your credit card on file. I found it convenient to stop by the front desk at the end of the day when we came back to the hotel after visiting the theme parks.
Tony’s Tip: If you plan on using the Disneyland mobile app to place
mobile food and beverage orders or to use
Merchandise Mobile Checkout, here’s a tip for using your Disney Gift Cards more easily. If you safely store the card numbers in a note on your mobile phone, you will have a quick and easy reference to use to copy the numbers and then paste them into the Disneyland app during the checkout step as you order food or purchase souvenirs. The app will let you know the current balance of the card entered before you finalize the purchase. Or you can keep track of the cards using the
My Cards page of the Disney Gift Cards website.
I hope you have a magical time at the Disneyland Resort, Janae. Not that I have any fear of missing out or anything as I stare at my calendar that says my next Disneyland Resort vacation is still months away, but if you have any more
questions for me, I’d love to help out again.
