Can I pay extra so i have a credit on my vacation? or should I purchase Disney gift cards to pay for extras/meals in the park. We plan on charging everything back to the room.

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Michelle! Your Incredible Summer vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort is a little more than a month away!

If you’re a guest at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you will be able to make charges to your Resort hotel room account using your MagicBand while you’re out and about enjoying your day at the theme parks. You will be asked to put a credit card on file for any extra charges to your account, but if you decide to, you can add some extra money to your account before your visit by calling and speaking to a Resort Reservation Cast Member at (407) 939-5277.

I have called and made extra payments toward my room charges using Disney Gift Cards and it works the same way if you decide to use a credit card. There’s no need to purchase additional cards, or walk around the park with them, if you are going to add a credit to your bill.

You will be foot loose and fancy free and the only things you need to make any charges to your account would be your MagicBand (or theme park entrance card) and your pin number to complete purchases at restaurants or stores within the Walt Disney World Resort. Easy huh?

Michelle, if you haven’t done so already, you will want to make your FastPass+ selections now. I suggest checking-out Disney’s Hollywood Studios to enjoy the new Toy Story Land. Andy and his toys will be so happy to see you!

    Have a magical visit!
