Hi again, Erica! I’m happy to chat with you about another great Disney Vacation Club question.
When I was first learning about Disney Vacation Club, I loved that for some trips, I could book a studio room for just me and my husband and then for others, I could bring my whole extended family and book a 2-Bedroom Villa or even a Grand Villa that sleeps 12. Erica, I’m not sure which Disney Vacation Club Resort you’re considering, but my latest stay at
Disney’s Riviera Resort has me dreaming about returning to the lap of European-inspired luxury that’s only a
gondola ride away from
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge…
Now, to your question, I spoke with a Cast Member at Member Services and confirmed that unfortunately you are
unable to exceed the maximum occupancy of the room, even using an air mattress. Erica, since it looks like you have a full group of Mouseketeers, if you're hoping to all "bunk together," I would recommend checking out all of your options for a Grand Villa.
As I am always trying to maximize the value of my Membership, I like to shop around when making reservations. I encourage you to look at the
Points Charts for the different Disney Vacation Club Resorts as you will find
some Grand Villas take fewer points than others. For example, there are some seasons of the year where a Grand Villa at
Disney’s Old Key West Resort may be available for only 47 points per night! Even my favorite miser,
Scrooge McDuck, would think that was an amazing deal!
Erica, I hope this helps as you are planning your upcoming trip. All of us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel are anxious to return to the Magic and that feeling of childlike wonder only found at the Walt Disney World Resort. Please come back and see us with any other questions you might have.
Wishing you a pixie-dusted stay,
Lauren
