Hiya Mary,
Welcome planDisney. Disney Gift Cards are my absolute favorite way to pay for my Walt Disney World Resort Vacations. When I pack for my trips, I always pack an extra pair of socks, an umbrella, and a Disney Gift Card. I find it easier to help me not overspend and much harder to misplace than cash.
While you can use a Disney Gift Card to purchase
Theme Park tickets, you cannot pay for your Theme Park tickets with more than one Disney Gift Card. The Walt Disney World Resort online payment system will only allow you to use one Disney Gift Card, and then any remaining balance would need to be paid for using a credit card. Now, if you have 11 Disney Gift Cards to use, I would recommend combining all of them onto one card to pay off your Theme Park tickets without pulling out your credit card. You can easily combine multiple Disney Gift Cards using the
Disney Gift Card Website.
To Combine Disney Gift Cards:1. Log onto the Disney Gift Card website using your Disney account information.
2. Go to “My Cards.”
3. Add each of the card numbers for your Disney Gift Cards.
4. Once you have entered all 11, select the Disney Gift Card you want to transfer all of the other balances to (up to $1,000 total).
5. Transfer the balances and draw some Mickey Mouse Ears on the back of that Disney Gift Card to identify which one has the $1,000 balance on it.
6. Toss the now-empty cards and bibbidi bobbidi boo! You will be ready to purchase your Theme Park tickets!
I hope this answers your question, Mary! Don’t forget that after you purchase your Theme Park tickets, you will need to make
Disney Park Pass Reservations; without them, you will be unable to enter the Theme Parks.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
