Hello, Kim and welcome to Neverland!
ER-Oops! I mean, welcome to planDisney where we are happier than Peter Pan flying through the stars to help guests plan Magical vacations.
Now, Kim, as a guest who loves to pay for everything from tickets to Mickey-shaped pretzels (and everything in between), I'm happy to chat with you today. The quick answer to your question is YES! You can pay on your
Disney Resort Hotel reservation with a Disney Gift Card, but let me offer you a few additional tips that might help.
First, did you know that you can combine multiple
Disney Gift Cards up to $1,000 per card? My family does this often so that we can pay larger amounts with one transaction. Just make sure to keep the actual physical card used to pay on your trip (just in case any refunds would need to be issued) until your vacation is over.
Next, if you'd like to pay for incidentals during your Disney Resort Hotel stay, my family registers a credit card, but we visit the Front Desk nightly to pay any charges with our Disney Gift Card. While it does take an extra step, we have found that it's one minor conversation that allows us to stay within our budget.
Finally, Kim, my last tip is to save the numbers of your Disney Gift Cards on your smartphone. If you'd like to use functions like
Mobile Ordering through the
My Disney Experience Mobile App (or purchase extras like
Individual Lightning Lanes) and would like to use your Disney Gift Card, you can quickly "copy and paste" if you already have the numbers saved in your phone. It saves time if you're trying to purchase while walking through the parks.
Kim, I hope this helps as you're planning ahead for your upcoming visit. As Peter Pan famously said, "all it takes is faith and trust"... but please know that planDisney pixie dust is here and waiting for you if you have any additional questions.
Wishing you an unforgettable visit,
Lauren
