Can you pay for dining tips using your magicband

    Hi Claire!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Yes! If you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel you can use your MagicBand to make payments around Walt Disney World, and have everything charged back to your room. I love that by wearing a MagicBand it eliminates the need for me to carry any cash around with me.  Most restaurants located around the Resort - at the theme parks and water parks, the Disney Resort hotels and select locations at Disney Springs will accept payment by MagicBand, and you can also pay your gratuities by using your MagicBand.  If you are using the Disney Dining Plan, any meal items including drinks and gratuities that are not included in the dining plan, may also be paid for by using your MagicBand.  If a restaurant accepts any of the Disney Dining Plans it will also accept payment by MagicBand.

One of my favourite things about MagicBands is that they are waterproof.  If you are visiting a water park - Disney's Typhoon Lagoon or Disney's Blizzard Beach, you can store all your cash/valuables in a locker but still wear your MagicBand all day, with the ability to buy refreshments at any time.

Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions. We will be happy to help you plan your magical holiday to Walt Disney World, and keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official news and updates on any events that may be happening during your stay.
