If I pay a deposit on a room only and need to cancel do I get my deposit back?

    Hey Julian,

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for your question regarding your Walt Disney World resort holiday. I’m so sorry to hear that your plans to visit might be changing - what a bummer. Having a Disney World vacation planned for the near future is what keeps me going, but I know that plans sometimes have to change. My fellow planDisney panelist Emma answers a similar question so thoughtfully here. While I’m really sorry that we can’t give you a specific answer to this question here, I do want to remind you that it may be possible to change your existing plans instead of cancellation if needed. When you contact the company you made your reservations with, be sure to ask for your options.

You will also want to do this soon, because oftentimes cancellation and amendment options are bound by a deadline. Before reaching out, be sure to check out the Walt Disney World Deals page. You may find that your flexibility is rewarded with an unbeatable discount on a holiday if you just change your dates.

If you have additional questions, contact the Disney Experts freephone for help. They’ll be able to look at your booking on the backend and provide the most comprehensive solutions.

I hope this information was helpful, Julian. If you need any additional help with planning feel free to visit us again at planDisney. We’ll see ya real soon!
