If I pay the $200 deposit for the resort room and need to upgrade to a bigger room, does the fee get applied to the bigger room?

Hello Sarahbeth! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

As a Walt Disney World Resort planning enthusiast, I frequently alter my original plans to take advantage of any Special Offers, changes in plans or potential scheduling conflicts. The good news is that as long as you are within the acceptable time period under the Walt Disney World Resort Terms and Conditions for cancelations or refunds

When you book Room-Only Reservations for a Walt Disney World Resort Hotels any payment (including your initial $200 deposit to hold the room) that you put toward your account will be applied to any alterations or changes you make to your Reservations.

In some instances, a Cast Member may recommend or you may find it advantageous to cancel the original Resort Hotel Reservations that you made outright. In this instance, the payment option you used will be reimbursed the amount you paid as long as you adhere to the Terms and Conditions for cancelations or refunds.

Any upgrades to larger Resort Hotel Rooms within the same Resort Hotel for the same dates should have the $200 deposit applied under the same Reservation Confirmation number.

Remember to use the Online Resort Check-In Service up to 60 days in advance of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
