    if I want to just pay for a character dinner instead of using our dinning tickets can I?

    Hello, Bridget!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!

    Sounds like you took advantage of the Disney Dining Plan.  Great choice!  I simply love the Disney Dining Plan myself.  You are more than welcome to pay for your meal instead of using your Disney Dining Plan. Simply let your Cast Member know once you are seated that you would prefer this option instead.
