Hey, howdy, hey, Nicole!
Yeehaw! It’s a
rootin’ tootin’ time to be heading to the Disneyland Resort! I’m thankful to be your partner for a little while as you get ready to soak up the magic at the theme parks.
Emperor Kuzco’s “no touchy” rule has certainly inspired many to adopt contactless forms of payment and other lower-contact options lately. But
cash is still accepted at virtually all merchandise and dining locations throughout the Disneyland Resort. If you are making purchases within the
Disneyland mobile app, you will need another form of payment. That will allow you to purchase the
Disney Genie+ service to add on to your tickets and/or to purchase access to
individual Lightning Lanes not included with Genie+.
Tony’s Tip: If you want to avoid having to keep track of bills and coins, you might consider using your cash to purchase a Disney Gift Card. They can be purchased at many merchandise locations. Also, although it can’t be purchased with cash, an eGift version that can be added to the mobile wallet on your phone is
available from shopDisney. And some good news is that Disney Gift Cards may be used to make most purchases made in the Disneyland app, including for Genie+ and
mobile food and beverage orders.
I hope that helps with your plans to visit the Disneyland Resort, Nicole. Please feel free to stop by planDisney again with any more questions.
