Hi there, Lisha!
Welcome to planDisney. It looks like you are visiting Disneyland this week. Hooray! Grab a churro for me!
I have good news! In my experience, cash is accepted at most restaurants and stores throughout Disneyland at this time. I know budgeting can be easier with cash (or maybe you have some birthday money to spend!), so feel free to bring it along.
I did hear that a few carts around the parks are testing a cashless system, including some churro and frozen treat carts, so you may want to bring a credit card just in case. I have found it helpful to keep a small mix of cash and a card so I’m covered no matter where I end up snacking. Also, the
Disneyland app requires a digital payment, such as a credit card or
Disney Gift Card, for mobile food orders or
merchandise mobile checkout. A Disney Gift Card can be a great alternative to cash since it works both in person and in the app!
If you’re a fan of Disneyland’s history, make sure to check out
Walt Disney - A Magical Life in Disneyland Park. This heartwarming show always brings a smile to my face! Over in Disney California Adventure Park, riding
Soarin’ Across America is a must! Also, don’t miss the tasty treats celebrating
Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary in both parks, like the Mickey Hat Cookie often found at
Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe (my favorite place to grab something sweet!) or
Trolley Treats.
Lisha, have a wonderful visit to Disneyland! I hope you stop by planDisney again if you have more questions.
Magic Happens!
Jen
