Ahoy, Charmaine!
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question - I'm happy to help!
First of all - I'm so excited to hear you've been able to reserve one of Disney Cruise Line's AMAZING cabanas at their beautiful private island,
Castaway Cay! My family was able to enjoy a cabana on one of our recent cruises, and it is an experience on the island that's second to none.
Castaway Cay's private cabanas are some of the most coveted reservations to secure. There are a limited number of these luxury getaways located along the Family Beach and Serenity Bay. The cabanas feature beach chairs and a hammock, and a small refrigerator stocked with water and soft drinks. We also had a basket of snacks, fruit, and an ample supply of towels provided for us. Guests are provided with a variety of sunscreen products to use if needed. Cabana attendants are available to answer questions or to help with needs throughout the day, and will also come by to take drink orders that will be delivered in a jiffy. We enjoyed riding bicycles, playing in the water, swinging (and napping) in the hammocks, building sand castles, and a delicious lunch on our day in one of the Family cabanas!
When you check in for your Disney Cruise, you'll be asked to provide a credit card for your onboard stateroom account. Disney Cruise Line uses a cashless system, and all your onboard purchases will be charged to your stateroom using your Key to the World Card. If, at any time during your sailing, you'd like to apply a cash payment to your account, simply stop by the Guest Services Desk. They can accept Disney Gift Cards as well!
I hope this helps with planning and preparations for your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation. Have a magical day! - Diane W.
