Hi Brittney,
Welcome to planDisney; I’m so excited for you to experience a
Disney Cruise Line vacation! From the personalized service to incredible onboard activities, food, and entertainment – there's just nothing else like it. I’m happy to share some guidance for payments onboard.
There is so much
included in the price of your cruise already, so be sure to take advantage of these amazing amenities. When you complete your online check-in (30 days before your sail date) you will set up a Key to the World account through the
Payment Autorization Form. This establishes a credit card to manage how your travel party will charge incidentals to your stateroom. Once onboard, you will receive a physical Key to the World card which acts as your stateroom key and is used for any paid transactions onboard.
You may visit Guest Services on the ship anytime to use a different form of payment to credit your stateroom folio throughout the cruise. If you have cash or Disney Gift Cards, you can apply them here. Please know that there are onboard limits to this credit and your card on file will be charged periodically as it reaches that amount throughout the cruise, so visit Guest Services early in your voyage if you want to pay this off sooner.
Quick Tip – if you are a Disney Visa Card holder or a
Disney Vacation Club Member, visit Guest Services on embarkation day to get a sticker placed on your Key to the World card. This will show anyone using the card for onboard payment that you have proven these affiliations and any applicable discounts will apply for each transaction.
Optional services, items, and activities that may incur a fee beyond your cruise cost include Port Adventures, alcoholic and specialty beverages, spa and salon services, babysitting in the ship’s nursery, phone calls, internet packages, souvenirs, and adult dining. Please consider your family’s interests and review the information available to determine the best budget for each person for this sailing.
You can now
prepay gratuities for your dining team and stateroom host in advance of your sailing once logged into your Disney Cruise Line reservation or the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. If not paid in advance, these charges will also be added to your stateroom folio at the end of your cruise.
Please come back and “sea” us if you have additional questions, Brittney.
Bon voyage,
Amy
