Is there a pattern to the extra magic hours? We are able to make our dinner reservations for our Christmas arrival next week. I wanted to plan the reservations that would be at the Disney Parks on the days of the EMH.

    Hi Sarah,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

You're going to Walt Disney World! At Christmastime!! I can't think of anything more exciting and worthy of a magical countdown. In fact, my good friend and fellow Disney Parks Moms Panelist Tabitha is famous for always knowing 2 things: how many days until her Walt Disney World vacation, and how many days until Christmas. And Sarah, you get to start the same countdown for both. The spirit of the season abounds at Walt Disney World during the holidays — from the twinkling Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom, to the Candlelight Processional at Epcot, to Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, to the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail.

The online Park Hours calendar is my favorite go-to resource for checking out schedules, including park hours, Extra Magic Hours, and special events. You can also use the My Disney Experience Mobile App. There generally is a set pattern to Extra Magic Hours, and the calendars can offer a guide.

Sarah, there's so much holiday magic awaiting you that you're sure to enjoy a wonderful time. You can even discover more of the Christmastime magic though the Disney's Holiday D-Lights tour. So let your Christmas countdown begin.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
