Hi, this is Patrice. I have two questions: 1. How do character meet and greets take place now? 2. I understand you need a ticket AND a reservation to get into a specific park each day, but is there still park hopping? If so, how does that work now?

Hi there, Patrice! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out and allowing us to help you plan your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort!

Meeting Disney Characters in person during your vacations to Walt Disney World Resort is one of the most fun ways to experience magic made real! In order to promote the safety of Guests and Cast Members, traditional Disney Character meet and greats have been modified. At this time, you can look forward to socially distanced interactions with characters including scheduled character cavalcades that include some of your favorite friends and unscheduled appearances made by characters throughout the theme parks!

One of my top recommendations, though, would be to schedule at least one Character Dining experience! This is the best way to get in some time with Disney Characters while also enjoying a delicious meal!

It is also true that Guests will need a reservation before entering any of the four theme parks in addition to their theme park tickets. I am also happy to report that Park Hopping is available at this time with a few modifications! To take advantage of the Park Hopper perk, Guests will need to make their reservation for the first theme park they plan on visiting that day and enter that park. Once Park Hopper hours begin at 2:00 pm, you will be able to head to your next park and begin your next adventure!

It is important to keep in mind that Park Hopping is subject to each theme park’s capacity limits and may be unavailable during particularly busy times such as holidays. I would suggest downloading the My Disney Experience app prior to your vacation since this you can elect to receive push notifications regarding theme park capacity as soon as they come available!

I hope you have a magical time visiting Walt Disney World Resort later this year! Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you!
