The past 3 out of 5 trips we’ve checked into either the Beach Club or Yacht Club we’ve been assigned a handicapped assisted room we neither need nor want. Our profile seems to be “stuck” in the system somehow. Is there a way to check/change our profile?

Hi Lori! Welcome back to planDisney!

I'm excited to hear about your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! Before you know it, you'll be arriving for a magical stay filled with unforgettable experiences and lasting memories. With your arrival just days away, let's jump right into your question!

It seems like you have been assigned an accessible room on previous visits. When booking your stay on the Walt Disney World website, you can select an option to check for accessible room options. However, when selecting your room type, this option will be stated in the description. Disney Resort reservations are typically unique on each visit, although it is possible that there is something stated in your My Disney Experience profile referring to accessible rooms. Your best bet will be to call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line and speak to a Cast Member for assistance. They will have the ability to put in notes and requests on your reservation, including asking for a non-accessible resort room. Please keep in mind that requests are not guaranteed, but Cast Members do a great job of taking them all into account for your stay.

Lori, if you've chosen to stay at Disney's Yacht or Beach Club Resorts again, you are in for an amazing stay! Stormalong Bay has recently reopened after a lengthy refurbishment, which will be perfect for relaxing during your stay. Whether you take a day off from visiting the parks or pop in during a few mid-day breaks, this pool area will be a great way to cool off on a warm summer day.

I'm not sure if you've discovered this dining location on a previous visit, but if you haven't, I highly recommend stopping by Crew's Cup Lounge one evening. It's connected to Yachtman Steakhouse and offers a few menu options along with a full drink menu. There are a few booths and cozy couch setups for Guests to sit and enjoy their time. We've popped in here on a few occasions and had a fantastic time. Advanced Dining Reservations are not accepted, which was great for a spontaneous visit.

I hope this information helps you plan for your stay, Lori! Stop back and see us again at planDisney!

    See ya real soon!
