In the past, my sister and I have requested a late checkout of 1:00 beyond the usual 11:00 time. I’m pretty sure I have read that if you request a late checkout beyond this time, there is a charge. Can you please confirm those charges. Thanks Maureen

Hey there, Maureen - welcome to planDisney!

Your magical visit to Walt Disney World will be here before you know it! And with The World’s Most Magical Celebration in full swing, now is a fantastic time to find yourself on a Disney Vacation. Not that there is ever a bad time for vacation - especially a Disney Vacation!

Maureen, I was unable to find any information regarding a late checkout charge. However, if you would like a late checkout, you can note the request with the Resort Cast Member at check-in. I would also follow up with the Resort Front Desk on the morning of your departure to determine if any late checkouts are available. Although Cast Members will do their best to accommodate your request, please know that requests can not be guaranteed. If you’re concerned about filling the time due to a late departure, Hakuna Matata - it means no worries! Your resort privileges do not end when you checkout of your hotel room. You are still welcome to use the resort amenities like lounging by the pool, dining in the resort restaurant, or touring the grounds. If you have a credit card on file, you can even continue to charge purchases to your hotel account! Or if you’re like me and decide that it’s just not time for the fun to stop, you can Express Checkout, drop your luggage off with Bell Services, and head back into the Theme Parks to squeeze out all of the magic you can!

I hope this helps, Maureen! The magic awaits!

    Until Next Time,
