    In the past, riders were able to request to ride up front with the driver on the monorail. I understand this practice was discontinued indefinitely after an accident. Has that practice been reinstated, or is it still not allowed?

    No, the practice of riding up front with the driver of the monorail has not be reinstated.  I wish I had better news; it was such a special experience for guests.
