Welcome to
planDisney, Christine!
Thanks for taking a break from your busy
runDisney training schedule to send your question. As a fellow runner, I'm looking forward to this year's race lineup! Did you see the
medal reveal for Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon? The Swedish Chef medal might just be the coolest I've ever seen. Before we cross the finish line, let's talk about the perks that come with your runDisney registration!
At this time, runDisney participants do not receive discounted theme park tickets; however, you may encounter other benefits associated with your runner status. For example, half marathon and challenge athletes in
Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend receive complimentary admission to the Post Race Party. In 2023 and 2024,
Disney Princess Half Marathon participants received discounted admission to a
Walt Disney World Water Park. Every year the special offerings are different, so it's important to follow
runDisney on Instagram and check your e-mail for updates as race day approaches.
I hope this is helpful, Christine, and you have a great year running through the Disney Parks. As much as I love visiting the theme parks, during runDisney weekends, I spend most of my time lounging by my resort pool, dining, and shopping at
Disney Springs or the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo. If you decide not to enter the theme parks during your stay, you can still find plenty to do.
Boma - Flavors of Africa is my favorite post-race restaurant. Since it's located inside
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, I can enjoy my meals there without using a theme park ticket.
Thanks again for stopping by planDisney. If there's anything else we can do to make your upcoming trips even more memorable, don't hesitate to reach out. We're here for you!
Wishing you many magical miles,
Betsy
