Hi Angela! Welcome to planDisney!
You have picked two incredibly themed resorts to stay at during your visit. Each one is beautifully designed with water dividing the grounds and bridges to cross over. The amenities are top-notch and both have fun areas for adults and children. But let's talk about dining! Disney's Caribbean Beach has one of the most under-rated restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Sebastian's Bistro has a delicious and inventive menu that boasts Latin and Caribbean flavors. Over at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort,
Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Largo has a serene atmosphere and a flavorful menu. If you end up staying at both resorts, I highly recommend taking advantage of these options.
We are all anticipating a return of the
Disney Dining Plan and hope to see it back soon at Walt Disney World. My family has used it many times and have always enjoyed the ease of having our meals paid for prior to our arrival. Based on the previous way the plan was set up, it would be tied to your resort reservation. Since a split stay is treated as two separate reservations, the Dining Plan would also be treated as such. In the past, you would need to add on the plan for the two-night stay at
Disney's Coronado Resort and then add on the plan for the four-night stay at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.
As we mentioned, the Disney Dining Plan is not available currently. I would go ahead and book your stay with the expectation that it will not return and then hopefully be pleasantly surprised if it makes a comeback. Also, keep in mind that if the Disney Dining Plan is brought back, it may not look the same as it did before. Everything we laid out in the previous paragraph may not apply to a new plan. This just happened with
Disney Genie+ taking over the previously used FastPass system.
I have a tip for you if the Dining Plan does not return in time for your trip. Research the menus of restaurants to plan to eat at to get a sense of the amount you expect to spend. Then purchase
Disney Gift Cards for this amount and use them for payment on your meals. This way you still get the benefit of having everything paid for before your vacation begins.
Angela, best of luck in the planning process. There is nothing more exciting than putting together the perfect Walt Disney World Resort stay!
Happy planning!
