Are passports required for a 2y/o and 5 y/o if traveling with both parents who hold passports? I have heard differing opinions. Some say only Birth Certificates are required. Would like to save the $ required for passports if they are not required.

    Hi Greg!

I totally understand!  Those passports are pricey...I'd much rather spend my money onboard!  Children can travel with only their certified birth certificates (the ones with the raised seals).  As a matter of fact, so can adults as long as they have a government issued photo id with it (driver license).  I'm positive about this...it's how my family and I traveled on the Disney Fantasy two weeks ago.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.  I'm very happy to help.  Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel.  Bon voyage Greg!

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
