Ahoy there, Karlissa! Welcome aboard planDisney! We're glad you're here looking to plan your amazing Disney Cruise Line vacation! Sounds like you're looking to make sure you get all the information you can before making the plunge! That's a great approach if you ask me!
According to the latest "
Know Before You Go Information," Disney Cruise Line continues to require all vaccine-eligible Guests (based on US eligibility requirements) to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, as defined by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), at the time of sailing. This is a requirement for all Guests (US and international) ages 5 and older. This information was last updated on June 15th.
Now, when it comes to passport requirements, currently, a passport is not required for U.S. citizens sailing on Disney Cruise Line itineraries leaving from a U.S. port and returning to the same U.S. port. So most sailings that depart from Port Canaveral, Miami or San Diego fall into this category. Personally, I always travel with a passport because I want to be sure not to have any issues returning to the US if something required me to fly back from a Port of Call, but I understand not everyone shares that degree of over-planning! Haha!
In any case, I suggest that you check the
Travel Documentation page on Disney Cruise Line's website for the most up-to-date information on what the travel requirements are for the particular cruise you're looking at booking for next year!
Thank you so much for your question, Karlissa! I hope that you have the information you need now to continue planning an amazing voyage! If you have any other questions as you begin diving into
everything that is included in a Disney Cruise Line vacation, please drop me another line here at planDisney!
Until then, may your anchor be tight and your compass true!
