Ahoy Linda!
Looks like you are getting shipshape for your Disney cruise to the Bahamas! Are you ready to experience
Castaway Cay, Disney's private island? This little slice of paradise is calling and you MUST go!
Based on your sail date, it sounds like you will be cruising on the Disney Magic 5-Night
Very Merrytime Bahamian Cruise from Miami. This matters because the travel documentation that is acceptable is dictated by where you will be sailing.
Currently, a passport is not required for U.S. citizens sailing on Disney Cruise Line itineraries leaving from a U.S. port and returning to the same U.S. port. So your sailing from Miami to The Bahamas falls in this category.
For your voyage, all Guests 16 and up will need to present an original or copy of their state-issued birth certificate AND a government-issued photo ID. Children 15 years of age or younger need only an original or copy of their state-issued birth certificate (no government-issued photo ID for them). Even so, I always suggest that you check the
Passport and Travel Documentation link on Disney Cruise Line's website for the most up-to-date information on what the travel requirements are.
With travel documents in hand, you'll be hitting the high seas to
The Bahamas in no time. Meanwhile, if you need any extra planning tips, don't hesitate to contact planDisney!
SEA ya real soon!
