Hi there, Ashontis!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so glad you found us while resEARching a Disney Cruise Line vacation! I don’t know about you, but I am so excited that the Disney Wonder will soon be
departing from The Big Easy! My husband is from New Orleans yet we don’t make it back near as often as we should, so this is the perfect excuse...add a few days on the front end and then head on vacation with Captain Mickey!
When it comes to
documents needed for travel, Disney Cruise Line’s guidelines are based on government regulations which are always subject to change. For round-trip voyages that begin AND end in New Orleans:
Guests ages 16 and older will need one of the following:
Original valid U.S. Passport
Original valid U.S. Passport Card
OR
Original or copy of state-issued birth certificate AND Government-issued photo ID
For Guests 15 years old and younger do need to present one of the above documents but do not need a Government-issued ID.
While a U.S. Passport is not required for travel to Mexico on a round-trip voyage, it is always recommended to have one, if at all possible. We found it to be very easy to get one for everyone in our family and it has subsequently come in handy more often than not! If you have any additional questions, I recommend contacting Disney Cruise Line at (800) 951-3532 and they can help answer any specifics as well as help you book your adventure at sea!
I am so excited for you and the adventure that awaits you onboard! My family absolutely loves sailing on the Disney Wonder and as a Louisiana-resident, you will love dining at
Tiana’s Place! I always look forward to the beignets and bread pudding dessert!
As you continue to plan for your magical vacation, please come back with any other questions you may have!
Stephanie
