Hi there, Julie!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for sailing by with your question about your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation! With cold temperatures all around, I am sure you are finding yourself daydreaming about the sunshine that awaits you onboard!
I hope you’ve been looking through all the fantastic excursions available through Port Adventures. In my opinion, it’s always a good idea to book excursions through Disney Cruise Line because the Port Adventures does all the work for you! They take care of everything for you and you get to simply enjoy the experience. They always manage to find the best of the best options allowing Guests to get the most out of their time at port.
Depending on which itinerary you are cruising, you may not be required to take your passport off the ship with you. At many ports, adult Guests are only required to take a form of government-issued photo identification with them along with their Key to the World Card. When this is the case, we most definitely leave our passports onboard, secured in our stateroom safe. We will then take our drivers license and keep it in our lanyard with our Key to the World card for easy access and safe keeping. I will note that we do also make a photo copy of our
passport and tuck it away in the lanyard or in a wallet, just in case. If you are required to take your passport when you disembark, we have just kept it with us in our backpack or bag that we take with us off the ship. Announcements will be made informing you what identification is required when disembarking, so you will be fully aware of what you need when you do go to get off the ship.
Wishing you a magical and memorable adventure at sea! Say hi to Captain Mickey for me!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
