Hi Tahnee,
Welcome aboard, and thanks for bringing such an important question to planDisney. A
Disney Cruise Line vacation is so special – there is
so much included onboard, plus the impeccable service and gorgeous
ports of call that you can’t go wrong with whatever itinerary you choose! I understand there may be some uncertainty around what travel documentation is needed, so I’m pleased to bring some clarity to this critical topic for you.
A
United States Passport may be required for your cruise, but this is dependent on the specific itinerary (which countries you are visiting) and those policies.
Please find all the details for various global destinations here. Oftentimes a full passport is not required but you will be required to provide a United States Birth Certificate and United States Government-Issued Identification. Sailing away from the mainland of our beautiful country means you’ll be entering international waters and likely visiting another country, so having the proper travel documentation and citizenship documentation is key to a smooth voyage. Depending on your departure port, you may be required to have a full passport to get to the port (such as airline travel to Europe, Canada, or Australia) as well.
Once you understand the travel documentation requirements, you’re ready to start planning an adventure! With so many
destinations and
five gorgeous ships, there’s a lot of choices for a practically perfect voyage with Disney Cruise Line. Please come back and see us at planDisney when you're ready to select a cruise, we’d love to help you make the most of your special vacation.
Happy planning!
Amy
