Can I use my passport and bank statement for proof of residency

Hello, Sylvia! Thanks for bringing your proof of residency question to us here at planDisney! There are a few acceptable documents to prove that you are indeed a Grand Floridian, so let's take a look at what the options are.

Florida residents age 18 and older will need to provide proof of residency to purchase Florida resident tickets or annual passes. The following IDs are accepted:
    • Valid Florida driver’s license (must have a Florida address)
    • Valid Florida state-issued ID card (must have a Florida address)
    • Valid Florida-based military ID
You can verify your residency with these forms of ID online and bypass Guest Relations to use your tickets right away! Just be sure to complete the Florida Resident Validation at checkout.

If you do not have one of these forms of ID, you must provide one of the following documents:
    • Current mortgage statement (deeds, mortgage contracts, mortgage payment booklets and leases are not accepted)
    • Current homeowner’s insurance policy or bill
    • Current automobile registration, insurance policy or bill
    • Current utility bill (power/phone/cable/water)
    • Mail from financial institutions, including, checking, savings or investment account statements
    • Mail from federal, state, county or city government agencies
These documents must be dated within the last 2 months and be accompanied with a picture ID (passport, driver's license, or state identification card).

Your plan to use a passport and bank statement will work so long as the bank statement is dated within 2 months of your intended purchase date and evidences a Florida address. Huzzah!

Be sure to check out the Special Offers for Florida Residents, Sylvia! Some of these deals make me want to start scoping out homes for sale in the Sunshine State. Perhaps a Summer House on the Lake? A man can dream!

I hope this information helps you secure your Florida resident tickets. Enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World Resort, and we'll see you real soon.

    Stay magical,
    Scott
