5/21/24 | We are passholders and our passes expire on October 12th. Do we need to renew our passes to reserve a park for NYE 2024? Could we even reserve yet if we were to renew our passes today?

    Hello Zach!

Welcome to planDisney! I'm still looking back on social media at last year's New Year's Eve celebrations in the Parks and I'm so sad that I missed out. EPCOT looked like the Park to be with its parties in the World Showcase and I hope you get to experience it this year.

Theme Park Reservations are only possible for people with valid admissions. You won't be able to make the New Year's Eve theme park reservation unless you have a valid admission in place such as a renewed Annual Pass. If you choose not to renew your Annual Pass you can always purchase a standard date-based ticket and visit on New Year's Eve with no theme park reservation needed.

Annual Passes can be renewed 60 days prior and up to 30 days after its expiration date. You are a bit outside of that renewal window so I suggest waiting till August 13, 2024 to renew. Walt Disney World Resort sometimes offers a special renewal benefit! Pass upgrades or renewals are subject to availability.  If you renew in August, you will be able to make your New Year's Eve reservation right away and I suggest you do so. Celebrating the New Year sounds even more fun at Walt Disney World Resort and I hope you are ready to party into 2025!

I hope this was helpful and you have a magical time!

    Happy Planning!

Meet the Panelist: Nimmy, New York

Hey, it's Nimmy from New York! Just like my guy Jiminy Cricket I am your wisecracking and helpful guide to making the best decisions for your Disney vacation! My husband and I work very hard to journey to our favorite place on Earth, Walt Disney World Resort, as much as we can. We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips. So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
