We are Passholders for Disneyworld, Florida. We will be visiting Disneyland in September. Can we reserve Fast Passes?

    Hi, Lynette!

Welcome to the Disneyland Resort! There are many things that you will find the same in Walt Disney World and Disneyland, but also many differences. One of those differences will be FASTPASS. The Disneyland Resort does not use FastPass+ or MagicBands like you are used to in Walt Disney World. In Disneyland, you have the option of Disney FASTPASS service (similar to the "legacy" FastPass system that used to be in WDW) or you can upgrade to Disney MaxPass, where you can get your FASTPASS times on the Disneyland app on your smartphone. Both FASTPASS and MaxPass only allow you to get your times reserved day-of, no need to book your times 30 or 60 days ahead like you do with FastPass+. Watch this video which will explain Disney MaxPass.

While in the Disneyland Resort, enjoy attractions that you will not find in Walt Disney World such as Mickey's Fun Wheel or Radiator Springs Racers. You can also visit old favorites from yester-year like Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. But my favorite is to ride attractions that you will find on both coasts, such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Splash Mountain and decide which coast has the better version. When visiting the Haunted Mansion, pay close attention in the stretching room and see if you can tell what is different!

Have fun on your west coast adventure to the Disneyland Resort!
