I am a passholder. There is a slim possibility I may not be able to make a reservation but 99% chance I can. Is there a penalty if I do not show up?

Hey there, hi there, Jenny! Welcome to planDisney. We are so glad you stopped by!

I hope you are loving your time as a Magic Key holder. There currently is no penalty for no-shows for standard tickets, however, Magic Key passes are different. If a Magic Key holder has a reservation and does not show up for that reservation date, you do get a strike. According to the Magic Key Terms and Conditions, if you are a no-show for three reservations in any 90-day period, you will not be able to make any new reservations for 30 days. If you have existing reservations, those will be canceled. You can currently cancel your reservation up until 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on the night before your reservation. This means you should be okay if you end up not being able to make your reservation this time, but it's not great to make it a habit. Hopefully, you will have a more clear idea of your plans the day before and can still have a chance to cancel your reservation if needed.

Be sure to check out the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival while you visit. I don't know if you were able to attend last year, but I was thrilled to see that my favorite treat from last year has made its return to the Foodie Guide. I definitely recommend trying the Mickey Mouse-shaped Macaron made with SNICKERS. It's SO good!

Jenny, thanks again for stopping by. Be sure to visit us again if you have any other questions!

While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
