Heigh-ho Haley, it's off to Walt Disney World you go!
It sounds like you're headed to the Most Magical Place on Earth with a bigger crew than Snow White and all seven of her dwarf friends. As far as I'm concerned, when it comes to a Disney vacation, the more the merrier. You're going to have a fantastic trip!
I chatted with a Cast Member who shared that you should be able to park your large van in standard parking, but ultimately it will be up to the discretion of the parking attendant. According to the
Walt Disney World parking information page, only shuttles, limos, campers, trailers, RVs, and buses must use oversized parking. While a 15-passenger van isn't specifically on the list, if there isn't space to accommodate your vehicle in the standard lot, you'll be directed to oversize parking. Currently, oversize parking only costs $5 per day more than standard.
With a large group, I think it's a great idea to have one person in charge of
Genie+ purchases. All you'll need to do is make sure everyone is linked in
My Disney Experience. Add each other by selecting "My Family & Friends" from the My Disney Experience dropdown menu. Scroll down until you see + Add a Guest and follow the prompts to link your whole crew together. When it's time to make a dining reservation, theme park reservation, or Genie+ purchase, you can do so for anyone in your My Family & Friends list. On a recent trip, I was able to join the virtual queue for
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure for my seven friends and me even though we had each purchased admission separately. All we had to do was connect on My Disney Experience the evening before we wanted to ride together.
I hope this is helpful, Haley. Best wishes for a magical vacation with your crew, and if there's anything else we at
planDisney can do for you before you set off on your adventure, don't hesitate to reach out. We're all ears!
Happy holidays,
Betsy
