Hi. I passed mt drivers test on Monday and never got an actual license it’s supposed to come In the mail. With that being said, can i still drive a gold cart at the campground?

Hiya Jennifer! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping on by!

Congratulations on passing your driver's license test and all of the requirements that come along with that! I'm happy to hear you did not decide to practice at Test Track or Tomorrowland Speedway! You may have failed the road test portion for slightly different reasons!

I'm excited you are staying at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort! This resort has so much to offer and a great change of pace from a busy park day. Renting a golf cart to get around the resort is a great idea and just another fun transportation option offered at Walt Disney World. With this resort being as large as it is, it definitely helps to have a way to get to the vast amount of amenities.

As a former New Yorker, I'm used to having to wait to receive a new driver's license in the mail. I did read that this is a fairly new thing to happen in the state of New Jersey. From my experience and everything I read, you should have received a temporary license once you passed the examinations. The official license should be mailed to you in the coming weeks. Depending on when your visit is for, it is possible to may receive it before then.  If not, hopefully you received a temporary license in the meantime and this should be satisfactory to keep on you when operating the golf cart. According to the official rules set forth by Walt Disney World, all drivers must have a valid driver's license with them when operating the golf cart. I would check with the front desk upon arrival to ensure that they are okay with this request.

By the way, two friendly and hilarious characters made their return to the campgrounds recently. Chip 'N Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long has returned and is taking place nightly, weather permitting. This activity is complimentary and a perfect way to spend an evening away from the parks. Once the campfire is over, a Disney movie is shown outdoors under the stars!

Jennifer, I hope you have an amazing time visiting the Walt Disney World Resort and enjoying the new experiences that have recently debuted. If you find yourself over at EPCOT, make sure to grab a boarding group for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind! It will surely be a memorable experience!

    See ya real soon!
