Hi Kierra! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.
Unfortunately, according to the current terms of purchase,
Magic Keys can't be transferred to a different Guest, and expired Magic Keys are not eligible for renewal. Existing Magic Keys may be renewed within the 30 days leading up to their expiration date. Given your circumstances, the only option is to purchase a new Magic Key. While they recently went back on sale, they sold out quickly and currently are paused again. Only renewals are available at this time.
The good news is that historically Magic Keys have reopened again within the year. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that will be the case again and you can secure your access to more magic throughout the year, great
discounts, and fun perks. I became a Magic Key holder for the first time last year, and I've found it to be a great value. Especially the dining discounts, since we love to dine in the parks, and this gives us even more reason to do so!
There might be other deals available to you, which would help make your next visit a greater value. Guests in eligible ZIP Codes can purchase the SoCal Ticket Offer, for example. You can check what offers you can take advantage of by visiting
View Offers and Discounts. Hopefully, there's a deal that's the perfect fit for your needs!
Also, be sure to update your Disneyland Resort profile to be sure you're receiving all communications from Disney. That way, you will be one of the first to hear about Magic Keys reopening. Following the
Disney Parks Blog, which is the official news source for the parks, is also a great way to keep an eye on upcoming sales.
Have a magical day!
Elizabeth
