Hiya Joe,
Welcome to planDisney! How exciting that you are planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort! I personally love visiting the Theme Parks in January and February. Historically, the holiday crowds have thinned out by then, and who doesn’t love starting the year with a little bit of magic?
So, Joe, I’m not 100% sure if I understand your question correctly, but I will try my best to answer what I think you are looking for. If I completely missed the mark, please come back and see
me; it is my goal to make sure that I help you get the answer to your question.
So, let’s talk Theme Park tickets! When you purchase a Theme Park ticket, the ticket is for a day, not 24 hours. So let’s say you get a ticket for 10/26 and use it to enter
EPCOT in the early evening until close. The time you spent in EPCOT counts as using one Theme Park ticket, even though you only spent a few hours there. So, if you have a 2-day Park Hopper Theme Park ticket, you would have only one day remaining after that partial day at EPCOT.
I hope that answers your question, Joe. My family and I often reserve our first day at the Theme Parks for the day after travel to “get our money’s worth.” On travel days, we like to visit Disney Springs for some shopping and snacking and then enjoy a meal at a table service location at one of the Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotels. This helps us relax, unpack, and enjoy our resort before we start rope-dropping a Theme Park the following day. Another thing we love to do is check out
Disney's BoardWalk area. It has some fantastic dining options, and we can watch EPCOT’s fireworks from the BoardWalk if we time it right. Please come back and see us if you need anything.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
