We are pass holders but will not be staying for the Halloween party event but will be in the magic kingdom on October 9th. We wanted to dine at Liberty Square at 6:15 can we just dine and leave with out the special event pass or must we dine before 6?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Kimberly!

Welcome to planDisney! We are DELIGHTED you stopped by and are honored to help you plan your upcoming trip to Disney World! As a Disney Annual Passholder, you already know the joy of walking down Main Street, U.S.A., and soon you’ll be back in the middle of all that MAGIC again. The countdown is almost over, and the parks are waiting with chills, thrills, and maybe even a few new surprises for you to discover. Get ready to soak it all in because your happy place is calling!

That is a great question! On October 9th, 2025, Magic Kingdom will be hosting Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which is one of the most SPOOK-tacular events of the year. On party nights, the park closes to regular day guests at 6:00 p.m., and only guests with a special event wristband can remain after that. This means that as Annual Passholders without a party ticket, you won’t be able to enjoy a dining reservation that starts at 6:15 p.m. Cast Members will begin checking for wristbands right around that time, and anyone without one will be kindly directed toward the park exit. If you would like to dine at Liberty Tree Tavern, you’ll want to adjust your reservation to a little earlier in the evening so you can finish before the party officially kicks off. That way, you’ll get to enjoy a hearty meal and still soak up the atmosphere of Magic Kingdom before it transforms for the Halloween festivities.

Another great option is to enjoy dinner at one of the nearby resorts, either along the monorail loop or just a short boat ride away. That way, you can still wrap up your evening with a hearty, relaxing meal after a full day of magic at the park. If you’re craving something in the same spirit as Liberty Tree Tavern, consider the Grand Floridian Cafe at the Grand Floridian Resort or Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge. Both offer delicious comfort-food favorites in unique, themed settings, and they’re easy to reach once you’ve said goodnight to Magic Kingdom, making them the perfect way to end your enchanted day.

If you have other questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We are here to help in any way we can!

    Have a MAGICAL day!
