Hello, Lori. Welcome to
planDisney.
I think it's so nice that you'd like to extend your Florida resident discount to your family coming in from out of state. However, the discounted
Florida Resident Tickets are only intended for those Guests who reside in the state of Florida. To use a Florida resident ticket, all adults ages 18 and over are required to submit proof of residency before using those particular tickets. You can show proof of residency online at the time of purchase or at the Guest Services window located at all four of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks.
Proof of residency can look like:
Valid Florida driver’s license (must have a Florida address)
Valid Florida state-issued ID card (must have a Florida address)
Valid Florida-based military ID
There are a few other ways to also verify residency but those are the easiest and most common options.
Since your family ages 18 and over are from out of state, they wouldn't qualify for the Florida resident discounted tickets. They need to purchase either a standard theme park ticket or they can upgrade to include the park hopper option. After tickets are purchased, don't forget that
park pass reservations must also be made. Park pass reservations are basically like a virtual placeholder in line at the theme park you'd all like to visit each day.
I hope this helps, Lori. If you have any other questions about Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have a magical day!
Jackie H.
